Summer sunshine and longer days call for an open air meal and the Rancho loves hosting our chefs, butchers and buyers for an evening full of delicious pork. This summer we hosted special guest Roger Mookingand his crew from Cooking Channel’s Man Fire Food for a special inside look at what it takes to slow roast a 30 lb. porchetta outside, over an open fire. Mooking and crew visited us in Chico cookhouse and Llano Seco will be highlighted in the upcoming episode “All You Can Feast” set to air Tuesday 8/23 at 6:00 p.m. PST.
The episode also features Oregon caterers Jaret Foster and Mona Johnson of Tournant Catering and their take on clam, chorizo and white bean stew.
