Pork Bones

At the Rancho we believe in utilizing the whole hog and letting no part of the animal go to waste. Add our femur bones to any soup, stew or pork-based sauce to boost the depth of flavor. Homemade bone broths are a powerful superfood drawing out amino acids and minerals from the bones that help reduce inflammation, aid in joint care and act as a weight management tool.

Create your own bone broth: put 2 lbs. of bones in a crock pot, cover with water and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Cook for at least 8 hours on low, strain through a fine mesh sieve and season with salt and pepper. Or roast the bones and add to a pot with mirepoix (small diced carrot, onion and celery or any other aromatics), bay leaf, whole peppercorns and water to make your own pork stock.

Total weight: Approx. 1 lb., frozen cut and whole femur bones
