How We Cook Our Fresh Sausages At The Rancho
INGREDIENTS
- Llano Seco Fresh Sausages
DIRECTIONS Casing On
- Pull thawed sausages from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking.
- Heat oil or fat of your choosing in a pan over medium-low heat.
- Add sausages and jiggle the pan once to discourage the raw sausages from sticking.
- Turn heat to low and cook sausages, rotating sausages until fully cooked with an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit, approximately 14- 15 minutes.
- Turn heat off and cover pan, allowing sausages to rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.
DIRECTIONS Casing Off
- Pull thawed sausages from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking.
- Heat pan on medium high heat.
- Cut casings and remove meat, crumbling into the pan.
- Break up the sausage slightly.
- Do not stir too frequently. The goal is to get a golden-brown bottom.
- Once browned, flip the sausage pieces, scraping up the brown bits as you go.
- Repeat until sausage is fully cooked through.
