Our unleveled row crop fields along the Rancho flood plain curve in the shape of the gentle paleo-era oxbows, created over millennia by the Sacramento River and its sister waterways. Our land stewardship methods include utilizing the natural hedgerows of riparian wetlands and oak savannahs of the river and its off-shoots to provide buffer zones, beneficial insect habitats, and natural biodiversity. We proactively test our soil, and utilize organic-approved methods of cover cropping and heavy crop rotation to maintain optimal soil fertility.
