Shipping Rules
All Shipments require a street address (no P.O. boxes). Please double check shipping addresses before order completion. We ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.


Shipping Rates
Non-perishable items (heirloom beans & ancient grains) have a flat rate shipping charge of $9. If purchasing perishable items (pork & beef), UPS Next Day Air will be the only available shipping option and flat rate shipping rates are based on time zone: $15 Pacific, $25 Mountain, $45 Central and $55 Eastern.   *All shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. boxes and APO/FPO/DPO addresses must go via USPS. *Please note the selected ship date is an estimated ship date.  


Shipping Minimums
Minimum order amounts for non-perishable items (heirloom beans & ancient grains) is $15 and perishable items (pork & beef) is $40.  *If minimum order dollar is not reached, no shipping options will be available.


Perishable Items
Due to our high standards for quality, we only ship perishable items next- day UPS, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Perishable items ordered on Thursday or Friday will be sent out the following week. We cannot send your meat via UPS Ground Shipping if you live far away from our HQ. We don't want our meat to thaw while in transit, and so we choose a faster service to arrive at your door without compromising the quality of the contents.

It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the recipient will be home on the day of the delivery. If in doubt, consider shipping to the recipient's place of business or calling the gift recipient in advance. The buyer may be responsible for the costs associated with any re-shipping of gifts.


We recommend letting gift recipients know in advance that something perishable will be delivered.


UPS will not require a signature at residential addresses and they will leave the package if no one is at home, and the UPS courier feels it is safe to do so. But, use caution when shipping to an apartment building. When a door person isn't available to receive a package, UPS may not leave the package and delivery will be delayed by at least one day. We pack our perishable items for maximum freshness and recommend that items be refrigerated within a few hours of delivery. A correct street address is essential.


UPS does not deliver to P.O. boxes. Address corrections made after packages have been picked up by UPS may result in extra charges to the buyer. These fees are charged to us by UPS. Address corrections will also add at least one day to the delivery time and, during warm weather months, and may result in a compromised product.

Tracking Order
The buyer will be emailed the UPS tracking number of each package that is sent. We track all of our shipments throughout the day to confirm timely delivery. We are available to assist with tracking orders Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time at 530.342.2100.

Customer Satisfaction
We want you to be completely satisfied with your order. If you experience a problem with any of our products, service, or shipping, please let us know right away. We'll do whatever it takes to make it right for you. Don't hesitate to be in touch with us at If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can't offer you a refund, exchange or credit. We cannot replace or refund orders that were shipped, delayed, spoiled or returned due to an incorrect or undeliverable shipping address. Gift cards are non-returnable.

Return Policy:
Due to the perishable state of our products, we will not take return products at our facility. If the product(s) you received does not meet our standards, contact us at 530.342.2100 or within 30 days of receipt. We will review your order and determine if a refund is due. 


We may request that you return the products to our facility, if determined necessary. If so, we will provide the customer with a return label, packaging, and facilitate a pick-up time for the product to be returned. Once the product has been reviewed, a refund or replacement product will be shipped to the customer. All returns must be initiated within 30 days of receipt of product. 


The review process should take no more than 21 days. After completion of the review, a replacement product will be sent, a refund will be issued, or store credit will be issued.
