Butter Beans

A flat small kidney-shaped bean, green or white in color. They have a grainy yet buttery texture. This bean was made common as a Native North American staple (and considered part of the “three sisters” of beans, corn, and squash) but native to Peru and cultivated for over 7000 years. It's creamy and slightly sweeter than larger Fordhook varietal of Lima Beans.
