Ground Pork Lettuce Wraps | Easy Meal Recipe

This ground pork lettuce wrap recipe is a tasty and healthy crowd pleaser! Our tender and flavorful ground pork has the perfect fat to lean ration and lends itself perfectly to this easy and delicious meal. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. Llano Seco Ground Pork 
  • 1 head butter lettuce 
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil 
  • 2 cloves minced garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp. finely chopped ginger 
  • 3 tbls. soy sauce 
  • 1 tsp. honey 
  • 2 tbls. toasted sesame seeds 
  • 1 to 2 tbls. sriracha (optional) 
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves 
  • 2 chopped green onions 
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts 

Pickled Carrots (optional)

  • 4-8 carrots peeled and julienne cut 
  • 1.2 cup rice wine vinegar 
  • 1/4 cup sugar 
  • 2 tbls. sesame oil 
  • 1 tsp. salt  

    DIRECTIONS

    Pork Belly 

    1. Rinse, separate and dry butter lettuce. Set aside. 
    2. Heat sesame oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. 
    3. Add garlic, ginger and ground pork. 
    4. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir to break up the meat and heat until cooked through. 
    5. Drain excess fat if necessary. 
    6. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, sriracha and honey. 
    7. Pour the soy sauce mixture into the pan and cook the meat for an additional two minutes. 
    8. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and fill the lettuce wraps with hot pork mixture immediately. 
    9. Top with green onions, cilantro, pickled carrots and chopped peanuts. 

    Pickled Carrots  

    1. Combine all ingredients and soak carrots in a jar for at least 1 hour and up to a week in the refrigerator.
